Dr. Joyce O. Alase, is a Board-certified Internist by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Geriatrics Trained fellow at the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston, Tx. She graduated from the University at Buffalo in Buffalo NY with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science. She later went on to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor at the American University of Antigua. She subsequently finished her Internal Medicine residency
training at Columbia University/ Harlem Hospital in New York city. She has had the privilege of serving various communities both local and at large. She is an experienced Hospitalist and outpatient clinician. She is a firm believer in collaborative medicine and values the medical relationships that
she has built with her fellow colleagues. Her transparency and understanding that it sometimes takes more than one person to accomplish a task have been made evident in her clinical practice. She believes that Medicine is a multifaceted entity and because of that, she has embodied a
holistic approach. when it comes to treating her patient. She believes that medications can help, however, the journey of medicine is much more than medicine the patient life, family, emotional, physical, and mental state are part of the healing and treatment process. Dr. Alase is a daughter, a mother, a wife, and a physician forming an all-encompassing personality allowing her to relate perfectly to her patients in real-life situations.
